Crosscutting Technologies
Crosscutting technologies are those technologies that are common to many industrial processes and can benefit multiple industries, i.e, aluminum, steel, glass, chemicals, wood/forest products, metal casting. Because of the broad application of these technologies, even small improvements in efficiency across the industries can yield large energy savings and environmental benefits for West Virginia and the nation. Crosscutting technologies and innovations that can be used in all areas of IOF-WV have always been a focus of the program.
